Privacy Policy
This policy describes how Calculator News handles information when you browse the site, use its calculators, or submit a request form.
Calculator inputs
Most calculator inputs are processed in your browser. The current site code updates the page URL with shareable query parameters for many tools, and the azimuth page stores your last chosen mode in browser local storage.
Calculator inputs are not submitted to a server just because you use a calculator. If you copy or share a URL, the values encoded in that URL can be visible to anyone who receives it.
Request forms
The request form submits to `/api/calculator-request`. If you ask for follow-up, the form also sends the email address you provide.
Request submissions are delivered through the site’s configured email processor so the maintainer can review the message. Do not include highly sensitive personal or financial information in a request submission.
Advertising, cookies, and third-party requests
The site includes a Google AdSense account verification script in the document head. If live AdSense ads are enabled on a page, Google may set cookies or similar identifiers to serve and measure advertising subject to Google’s policies.
The current site code does not include a separate first-party analytics product. Standard request logging may still occur through the hosting platform, CDN, or third-party services used to serve fonts, map imagery, or form-delivery requests.
The site currently makes third-party requests to services such as Google Fonts and Bing imagery tiles when those features are loaded. External links to provider pricing pages may send you to OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Microsoft, or other third-party sites with their own policies.
Server logs and retention
Like most public websites, this site may generate routine server, CDN, or application logs that can include IP address, browser details, requested URL, timestamp, referrer, and error information.
The retention period for those logs depends on the hosting and service providers in use. Request-form emails may remain in the configured inbox for normal review and record-keeping unless they are manually deleted sooner.
Your choices
- You can use most calculators without submitting personal information.
- You can avoid the request form if you do not want to send message content or an email address.
- You can clear local browser storage and query-parameter URLs from your browser history if you do not want them retained locally.
